Subtle Mind...

Well, this week I was able to enjoy this exercise. I feel as if I am radiating, I am more calm as with most the exercises but yet this one seemed to have gotten me to my all time calmest. :). At a certain point I was able to analyze my body and how much heavier it felt. Though I was distracted a few times I was able to grasp my attention back and see those thoughts dissolve. Lat week's exercise was a bit difficult for me to get, but when I tried later on I got used to the woman's voice randomly popping in though I still need to get the hang of the loving kindness exercise.

Now for the connection between both spiritual and mental wellness is a more obvious one than I had thought in the past, but yet something I am currently working on. If you think about it to be have an overall good spiritual state your mental needs to be also or vice verse. As we continue to learn things I can see how the two truly feed off one another. If one isn't properly tuned the other will lack also.

I am very curious as to see what new techniques we will encounter.

  1. Hi Maite,

I definitely think that our physical and mental states are connected. When our bodies don't feel well, our mental states are affected and vice versa. Dacher focused on the connection in his introduction to his book "Integral Health." Have you ever felt physically ill when you were stressed out or even simply sad? I have, and that is something that I'm working to improve in my life.

  2. Hi Maite,

it sounds like the subtle mind exercise really worked for you. I enjoyed the first exercise but this one really calmed me and filled me a sense of peace and ease.

Spiritual and mental wellness are definitely connected. I can see that times in my life when during the I've been mentally weak, I was also spiritually weak.
